RM of Redberry’s story
The Rural Municipality of Redberry No. 435 was incorporated as a rural municipality on January 1, 1913. It lies in central Saskatchewan and takes in the town of Hafford and the village of Krydor, along with the localities of Orolow, Redberry and Redberry Park.
The municipal office is in Hafford, where a council and an appointed administrator meet on the second Tuesday of each month. A Canadian Pacific Railway line once ran through the area but has since been abandoned. Today Highways 40, 340, 685 and 781 serve the municipality, and Hafford has an airport.
Redberry is best known for its lake. Visitors can head to Redberry Lake Regional Park, the Redberry Lake National Migratory Bird Sanctuary and the Redberry Lake Biosphere Region Interpretive Site.
